All right.
of four or five cars.
And my friends and peers in the industry nationwide, who have tried to make efforts to put in and say,
hey, I'm going to convert a dozen forklifts to electric, or I want to tee up a facility for 30 electric trucks.
There is no power. The utilities come back, the cities come back and say, is this some kind of joke?
One friend tried to put in,
in Illinois a facility teed up for 30 trucks electricification.
The city came back and said, this is some kind of joke.
You're asking for more draw than the entire city requires.
And just to give you an idea, 30-50 trucks, that's like a 5-6 מגוואט application.
The factory that makes the trucks is a 2 מגוואט.
The factory. If the power and infrastructure is not available,
it's not even a consideration for trucking.
yet,
California wants to make it effective next January. That's the only choice.
No diesel trucks.
What are we talking about here?
We're trying to serve the country in supply commodities that are essential to every day life.
So before any of the, this is not kind of a choice. We have the car before the horse.
Creating a digital identity platform for citizenry is kind of foundational because I believe your government
should be the owner of the owner of your digital ID.
The private company should not own that.
It is the social contract of a citizen that the country is to have an identity,
currency and safety.
They should have the digital identity.
That digital identity should guarantee the privacy of that citizen.
It should help them with the security.
But the government should give the identity.
Innovation is something that interests you at so many levels in so many different areas.
One of the most innovative ideas that we in India have had is our digital backend,
you know, through the Adhar system, for example, or many other apps and systems which have emerged.
How does that contribute, do you believe, to the India growth story?
Well, there's no doubt that being able to register citizens and get government payments
to them directly.
You know, they don't have to go to a big branch,
nobody's asking for their part of that cash.
The pandemic is a wonderful example, we're actually going to branches,
it wasn't going to work
no matter what.
And so the amount that's been saved, and now the amount that the government's interacting in a rich way with citizens,
you know, for example, I saw an audition where they had registered the farmers,
and they understood their land and their crops.
And so they're sending them a regular bulletin and they're communicating about PAS and what you need to do.
So this is a case where India's been out in the lead.
You know, India did this thing at scale,
they made it work and the Gates Foundation has been involved in some of those projects.
We're also involved in helping India show other countries.
So right now there's 15 other countries at various stages of adaptation,
which a lot of that was kicked off by the way that MoDi made that a centerpiece of the G20.
It's ultimately about empowerment, right?
It's not just about efficiency,
it's about empowering people,
women,
young adults.
And you believe that's model that needs to be replicated elsewhere?
Well, definitely.
You know,
paperwork in government and being confused about different policies and you know, having powerful people sort of take away the payments that should come to you,
these systems are really critical.
You know, even like collecting the GST or understanding what's going on with the population,
and we'll see it get richer and richer in verticals like health and agriculture.
Well, a new study confirms some surprising news about red meat,
something that humans have been eating for thousands of years with no problems whatsoever,
may not actually be damaging our hearts.
A new study box recent trends in health research that say that people who eat a lot of red or processed meat face an increased risk of heart disease.
A research team looked at UK-Biobank data from over 1.8 מיליון people,
roughly 460,000,
who ate processed meat,
pork,
beef and mutton respectively.
Anyone with the history of cardiovascular disease was ammitted from the study.
The team found that eating red or processed meat was not linked to a higher risk of cardiovascular disease.
All odds ratios, all odds or ORs, of a person developing cardiovascular disease,
coronary artery disease,
stroke, heart failure or atrial fibril,
were insignificant.
You can see that an odds ratio of one means that there is no significant increase between eating red meat,
for instance,
or not eating meat,
and an OR higher than one indicates a person is more at risk.
And an OR below one
means one is less at risk,
or that the intervention has a protective effect.
The link between beef intake and heart disease was even lower,
with an OR of 0.7 for developing cardiovascular cardiovascular disease.
Beef eaters were also at low risk for developing atrial fibril and heart failure.
But at higher risk of experiencing stroke.
You can also see the findings about pork there.
Now, despite these findings,
the research is still labeled the outcomes in-significant in terms of causality.
But an intake did not reveal any health risks associated with heart disease either.
The research team found.
Much like processed meat,
OR outcomes for risk of cardiovascular disease,
and all of the others we discussed before as well.
This result differs from those of previous observational studies,
the research team wrote.
The researchers said more research to confirm their findings is warranted,
but one of their quotes is over the past decade,
several cross-sectional and prospective studies have investigated the relationship between red and process meat consumption and cardiovascular disease.
The conclusions drawn from the data are inconsistent.
הנרי קיסינג'ר once said,

Today,

after learning about this provision,
he issued a warning about how these ear tags might eventually be used
to electronically track livestock across the entire country in an effort to limit the consumption of beef.
Here specifically how he laid out the threat in a Twitter post.
Quot
Hidden in this week's omnibus,
לאבייס got 15 million dollars to implement electronic tracking of all cattle in the U.S.
No law authorizes this.
It will be used by the green agenda to limit beef production and by
the corporate meat allוגopoly to dominate small ranchers.
The agreement directs the Department of Agriculture to continue to provide the tag and related
infrastructure needed to comply with the federal animal disease traceability rule,
including no less than 15 million dollars for electronic identification EID tags and related
infrastructure needed for stakeholders to comply with the proposed rule,
use of electronic identification ear tags as official identification in Cטלן בייסן,
should that rule be finalized.
rule. And just for your general reference,
even though it's technically called an administrative rule,
it actually does have the force of law.
Because as it currently stands,
rules that are created like this by federal agencies,
such as by the USDA,
in practical terms,
they have the same power as laws.
You can call them laws made by people we never voted for.
That's called the doctrine of שברון דפרנס,
and it is actually being currently challenged at the U.S. Supreme Court,
but at the moment, this is how it works.
Regardless, getting back to the actual rule,
as the name suggests,
the state of purpose of that rule,
that particular rule,
was to be able to track livestock across state lines in order to limit disease outbreaks.
Here's how it's described over in the Federal Registר.
כות,
under this rule,
unless otherwise exempted,
livestock belonging to species covered by the regulations that are moved interstate,
must be officially identified and accompanied by an interstate certificate of veterinary inspection.
The purpose of this rulemaking is to improve our ability to trace livestock in the event that disease is found.
And so, this particular rule,
it pertins to the movement of livestock from one state to another.
And it covers many species,
including pigs, goats, horses,
poultry, cows, and bison.
And in terms of cows and bison specifically,
here's what it says in relevant part.
Quot,
requirements we cover all sexualians that have cattle and bison aged 18 months and over,
dairy cattle of any age,
and cattle and bison of any age used for rodeos,
recreational events,
shows or exhibitions.
Because they tend to live longer than feeder cattle,
they move around more and have more opportunities for co-mingling,
thus present a greater risk of spreading disease.
And so, right off the bat, I want to highlight that Congressman Massy's statement that all cattle in America will be tracked is not accurate.
Under the current framework,
cows that don't move across state lines,
as well as feeder cattle,
will not actually be tracked.
And just for your reference,
feeder cattle refers to young cattle under the age of 18 months,
who are getting fattened up at feeding box.
And so, in terms of the food supply,
it's mostly dairy cows and cattle above the age of 18 months who move across state lines that are covered by this particular rule.
And so, since the year 2013,
the way that cattle have been tracked under this rule is through an 11-digit ID tag that's attached to their ear.
Meaning,
that in order to be eligible for interstate travel,
cattle must have these 11-digit tags attached to their ears.
And if you actually want to read them,
you need to get pretty up close to the cow in order to see the number.
As you can imagine, that is rather inefficient,
and it's hard to streamline a process when you are dealing with a lot of livestock.
And so, because of that,
last year,
the USDA proposed a new rule,
or rather,
it's actually an amendment to the existing rule.
The amendment is called use of electronic ID ear tags as official ID in cattle and bison.
And just like the name suggests,
this amendment will require that the tags on cattle
but rather RFID tags.
That way, they can be scanned remotely without having someone get up close to the animal.
The idea is that this new system,
it would streamline the tracking process and take a lot of the human error out of the equation.
Now,
like most federal agency rule changes,
this one was put out for public comment.
And if you head on over to the federal register website,
you'll see that this particular proposed rule,
it has garnered well over 2,000 responses,
with many of them coming from small and mid-sized farmers,
saying that this rule will disproportionately affect them,
since larger corporate farms can absorb the cost of occupying ID tags for all their cattle,
while family farms,
for them it might be a huge burden.
Here's, for instance, what a pretty good representative comment read,
quote,
As a person who has worked in small and medium-scale agriculture and seen first hand how challenging it is,
to not only find a USDA slaughter facility within the same state,
to get an appointment within a year,
I'm completely sure that this rule would disproportionately affect small and medium-sized meat producers.
And so,
which might inevitably,
well, I wouldn't be surprised if you see this proposed rule becoming finalized in the very near future.
But even if it does,
it won't actually change the parameters for which cattle and bison must be tagged.
It will just require those tags to be electronic ships.
And so,
on the one hand,
the claim that the federal government has a plan in place to track all cattle in America is not true,
at least for now.
But that's not to say that it won't be true in the future,
and that this is just the first step in that direction.
Maybe what Congressman Thomas Massie was alluding to in that statement is the trend.
Just like with cell phones,
everyone gets them in order to text,
make phone calls and browse the web.
But then, on the flip side, a few years later,
they're now used to track everyone all the time by the federal government as well as the police.
Likewise,
today you might be putting electronic RFID tags and all cattle that go state to state,
tomorrow the electronic tags will be required from all cattle,
regardless of whether they go state to state,
and then 10 years down the line when the anti-meet-law
he gains power,
well, those tags will be used to lower meat consumption in general.
But of course, that's getting out there into the realm of speculation,
which is outside the scope of this program.
We stick to the noble fax,
and the fact is that at this moment,
this 15 million dollar earmark is for electronic tags
to be placed on cattle who travel interstate in order to stop the outbreak of diseases.
