that recently I have noticed that supermarkets are not always the cheapest around.

they were the cheapest,
but now,
not so much.
So if you have a local butcher,
support them.
If you have a local green grocer,
buy from them.
I've noticed quite a few things that are cheaper elsewhere recently. I was at a market the other day,
someone was selling fresh fish,
and it was cheaper than a supermarket.
That's unusual.
And I've noticed quite a few things cheaper in my local independent shop,
you know, that were cheaper than a supermarket.
So it's not as clear cut as it used to be.
All these supermarkets are part of the system,
and they are only going one way,
and that will be to catastrophe.
This is why the road is wide,
to destruction, and many will be on that road.
It's the same with the smartphones.
I can talk about how people shouldn't use them,
throw them away,
